Description

Price just reduced for immediate sale, as is.

Skip the waiting lists for dockage, Nauti Cat is in a liveaboard friendly marina. When you buy Nauti Cat you can skip the waiting list and assume the annual liveaboard slip.

Nauti Cat is a 2008 Admiral Yachts 38 Catamaran of which there are very few in the United States.  This well built blue water passage making catamaran sailed from Cape Town, South Africa, home of Admiral Yachts, now known as Celtic Yachts, on her own bottom to Fort Lauderdale in 2020. The current owners are the second owners. They have lived aboard Nauti Cat since they purchased her and have enjoyed their trips and time on her but health issues are their reason for selling.

Designed by Angelo Lavranos and built by Tim Duncan and his team at Admiral, the 38 is a strongly built boat with safety first when it came to design and construction. The sight lines from the helm are great when docking or doing close quarter maneuvering in a marina or tight cove. At 38 feet this Cat can be easily single handed if need be. The current owners have done many updates to the boat since they bought her and the boat was repowered in 2020 with new Yanmar 30 HP engines with sail drives. The engines have less than 141 hours currently.

Accommodations

Nauticat is the 3 Cabin 2 Head Owner's version, the port Ama has the two guest cabins with a single Head and Shower. The starboard Ama is completely dedicated to the owner's cabin, there is an amazing amount of storage in the Owner's area as well as in the entire boat. The Owner's Head is all the way forward with a Shower and storage.

All of the berths are double in size, and well ventilated. The Salon area has a large L Shaped Settee with dining table that will easily seat four for a meal or six for cocktails. There is a 32 inch television across from the Settee by the Nav Station and a newer Kenwood stereo system with SiriusXM radio has been installed.

The marine Heads and sanitary hoses are all new in the last two years as well as the faucets in the Heads and Galley.

Galley

The Galley is to port of the Salon Settee and has a great amount of counter space and storage. There is a newer 3 Burner LPG Cooktop with Oven, newer Microwave and front loading separate Refrigerator and Freezer. The Galley Faucet is also new and there is a new Solenoid Valve for the LPG system.

There is a Spectra Watermaker with spare filters and membranes, the watermaker is operated with a weekly backflush and has been used on passages to the Keys.

Electrical

In 2020 when Nauti Cat arrived in the States the owners had all the AC systems converted to 110V/60HZ systems from 240V/50HZ.There are two 30 Amp shore power connections on the starboard aft side, one which is dedicated to the air conditioning system.  The AC panels are located at the Nav Station in the Main salon.  All new 110V electrical outlets have been installed.

There are two 200 watt solar panels mounted above the Cockpit. There is a new Inverter/Charger installed, currently only the Charger side is wired, the Inverter side is yet to be connected to the electrical system.

There are four new in 2022 100Ah each batteries installed.

Electronics

Nauti Cat is well equipped with a full suite of Raymarine electronics including an E80 multi function display chart plotter/GPS/radar. The radar cable going to the mast mounted radome has been cut and is not providing a signal to the E80 unit, this should be a simple repair. There is a ST60+ head for depth and speed, another ST60 head for wind and a ST6002 head for the AutoPilot.

A newer IslandTime WIFI system with Antennae has been installed.

Deck

The Ama's are in good condition having just been waxed and polished in June of 2022. The topsides of the hulls were waxed and polished in April of 2022. There is new Dyneema lacing for the two trampolines and a new Lofrans Windlass installed in the last two years along with a Mantus 45 Anchor with chain rode.  There is a second Danforth style Anchor mounted forward of the Windlass.

A robust dinghy davit is mounted aft and a new Outboard motor lift recently installed for the 1998 Caribe 10 foot RIBand the Evinrude 15 HP 2 Stroke Outboard..

Dockside city water connection is on the deck new in the last two years plus an anchor washdown system was installed in the last two years.

Sails & Rigging

Age of the sails is unknown for the Main and 110% Jib but the Owner does not believe them to be original. There is a new in the last two years Headstay and Hood 808 Furler and three new mainsheet blocks.

Propulsion

In 2020 new Yanmar engines, 3YM30, with saildrives were installed and currently the port engine has 133 hours and the starboard engine has 140 hours. Due to a seal issue for the port saildrive it was replaced and at that time the lower unit from the old saildrive was rebuilt and is onboard as a spare. The starboard lower unit has been rebuilt as well.

Access to each engine is under the port and starboard aft berths offering excellent access to service the engines.
