Escapade has been a dreamboat for either cruising, fishing or liveaboard. Cruise-ready, Escapade has been used as a trawler/cruiser and liveaboard for the past six years, and has performed superbly. Economical to operate at 4 gph while cruising at 8-9 knots. Top speed 14 knots. Passages from Annapolis to Florida Keys have been problem-free. With its TRAC stabilizers, the boat virtually never rolls – it only pitches making for an extremely comfortable, seasick-free ride. With its two generators, solar power, water maker, washer/dryer, and other hotel systems, Escapade can stay off the grid for weeks at a time. Escapade is configured with two staterooms, with the queen master aft and a queen forward. I am 6 ft 2 inches tall and can stand up comfortably in all the rooms and showers. Both staterooms have ample storage lockers. The master stateroom is ensuite and has a "make-up station". The center of the yacht has a large salon area, and large windows with a foldout queen bed. Between the salon and forward stateroom is the step-down galley. To starboard of the galley is the forward head and shower. Topside, Escapade has full-length, wide walkways on each side. Directly above the master stateroom aft is a large "patio" area perfect for entertaining groups of friends. There is a large station for fishing on the aft fantail. The water maker, tankage and steering are underneath the aft fantail. On the bow there is a large storage locker plus an anchor operating station. The flybridge is fully enclosed from the weather and is equipped with a spacious seating area.

Ocean Alexander yachts are well known for their superb interior design and woodwork, in addition to outstanding engineering, and Escapade is no exception. Previous owner had a helicopter landing pad installed on the aft patio deck to accommodate a 4-seat, Robinson R44 helicopter. (Helicopter did not convey. The hardtop drops down hydraulically about 4 ft to accommodate helicopter blades.)
