Accommodation

Access to the accommodation is via a large deck hatch on two gas struts at the forward end of the cuddy. There is an access step to a telescopic ladder to the teak and holly laminated floor boards. Seat to the aft end with access to storage. There are two snug single berths with grey vinyl upholstery. 12V light. Portholes. This also provides excellent stowage for the two cockpit tables and cushions for the seats and sun pad.

Mechanical Systems

This boat is fitted with the most popular Nanni 205 EVO 200hp diesel engine. Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger. Single lever controls with electric start. Hydraulic wheel steering with additional removable tiller steering at the aft end of the cockpit. Shaft drive via gearbox to a bronze 4-bladed propeller. Skeg protection. The engine has run for some 20 hours only.

12v Battery charged via engine alternator. Electrical distribution system with battery isolator.

Construction

Ocqueteau Ostrea 700 T-Top built by Ocqueteau SA. White GRP vacuum infusion moulded hull with grey styling stripe, superstructure and decks with non-slip surfaces. Keel profile with semi-tunnel design improving efficiency and a protective skeg. Hydraulic wheel steering to stainless steel rudder. Self draining aft cockpit with good stowage in two large side lockers. Steps up to side decks and walk-thru transom with bathing platform. 

The clever usage of vacuum infusion allows a superior strength to weight ratio over more traditional construction techniques, resulting in improved efficiency, performance and economy. As a direct result Ocqueteau are able to use smaller engines to achieve the same speeds as many competitors and get surprising performance from their shaft drives.

She has a raised centre console helm position for superb visibility, fitted with twin bucket seats on swivel pedestals with hinging bolsters for stand up helming if required.

Fixed stainless steel T-Top frame and canvas bimini. She is fitted with the additional aft folding cockpit seating and two cockpit tables plus foredeck seating pack with sun pad conversion, opening console portlight and additional grab rails. Two large cockpit lockers and a lazarette provide ample storage for fenders, warps and other deck gear, with a built in live bait/catch well or deep locker concealed at the stern. Engine access via a lifting cockpit cover and removable internal access. Excellent all-round deck access with full walkaround flat deck to bow. Walk-thru transom with swim ladder to moulded bathing platform.
