To this day the Sea Ray 390 Express was one of the most popular models ever built. This boat will need some cosmetic attention, the seller is unable to get onboard, move around and care for her the way they used too. It still runs well (Newer big blocks installed in the last several years) and still can be used as a live aboard with finishing needs (and wants) can be applied along the way. She does feature V-Drive inboards.
Sellers are reasonable and want this boat Sold. I will write up all reasonable and close to reasonable offers. The boat simply needs new owners that can keep up with her. Give me a call and lets get it worked out.
A very popular model with a great history. Walking through this vessel you can certainly see some updating and refurbishing that may be needed, but it all doable to someone that is handy.
The decks on the topside are remarkably solid under foot for a Sea Ray of this vintage. The interior is obviously outdated which is going to be standard on almost every boat of this time frame. The exterior upholstery is in exceptional Condition relative to its age, and the layout of the cockpit is practical.. but again it is a layout originally designed in the 80's. This is not a new boat.. But very affordable indeed.
One engine had a new block replaced and completely rebuilt in 2021 the other in 2022. It is reported the is about 20 and 40 hours on these engines.
Some things included but not with the current pictures on the boat. (These photos may be added later) There is a long transom bench seat that is stored under cover. The seller took that out because they prefer to have the extra rear cockpit space. There is also a Full Cockpit Cover, Bimini Top, and Camper Canvas included and stored inside their home.
The boat features inboard engines so if you want to live on the water (dockside, mooring ball, or on the hook) This may be your perfect opportunity.
A much newer boat in this size range and class will cost you hundreds of thousands more. (and yes you will have to put some money into them as well) Please do not expect to not throw some money into this boat to make it how you want it.
Sellers DO want this boat sold. I am willing to write up a reasonable offer and all offers that I consider to be close to reasonable.
The 390 Express Cruiser turned out to be one of the most popular boats ever built by Sea Ray. First of the big production express boats when she came out in 1984, her sleek lines and European styling—tame by today’s design standards—made a lasting impression on the mid-1980s sportboat market. Below, her expansive two-stateroom interior is arranged with a queen berth forward and a combined galley-and-breakfast bar facing the curved settee in the salon. The guest stateroom is unique: it’s separated from the salon by a retractable mirrored bulkhead. Slide it away, convert the bunk berths into a sofa, and the area actually becomes a part of the main cabin. Topside, the single-level cockpit is huge with seating for as many as eight passengers. Twin 340hp inboard MerCruisers cruise the 390 Express Cruiser at 17–18 knots (mid-to-high 20s top), and optional 375hp Cats cruise in the mid 20s and reach a top speed of close to 30 knots.
