53 is a traditional pilothouse cruising yacht whose wide 16'11" beam results in a vast interior with the living space of a much larger yacht. The large main salon features a curved leather sofa to port, lounge chairs opposite, and built-in entertainment center. The pilothouse area—accented with teak flooring—includes a centerline helm, portside dinette, U-shaped galley, and access door to the starboard side deck. Below, the full-beam master suite with walkaround queen bed is amidships. Forward of the master is a portside guest stateroom with twin bunks. Further forward is the main guest cabin with queen size berth and full length wardrobe closet. Both guest staterooms share a common head. The very spacious flybridge is accessed via stairwell from the starboard forward side deck. The enclosed cockpit features a built in grill. GM 550hp 6V92 diesels cruise at 16–17 knots.
