Description

Outrageous good looks, impressively engineered and delivered on arguably one of the greatest hulls ever. The Dale Classic 45 MORE MAGIC was delivered in 2006 and is hull 004. Now in her second ownership from new, she is the two cabin version and specified with a pair Yanmar 500HP diesel engines with a modest 720 engine hours. Equipped for extensive cruising including bow thruster, inverter, diesel heating, Kohler generator, Raymarine Navigation, radar & dehumidifier etc. She is exceptional and has been maintained by Dale Yachts from new.

Construction

RCD Status: The yacht conforms with the essential safety requirements of Directive 94/25EC or RCDII (2013/53/EU as appropriate (Recreational Craft Directive) and is categorised B – “Offshore”.

 

Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
  • Solid laminate with vinylester to hull molding.
  • Epoxy treatment to bottom before antifouling.
  • Rubber D fendering at hull to deck joint.
  • Spray-rail molded into the hull.
  • Teak to toe-rail with caulked joints.
  • Teak to side-decks and cockpit sole, cockpit steps and locker tops.
  • Teak to bathing platform.
  • The hull was re-painted with Flag Blue Awlgrip by Dale Yachts.
  • Boot stripe painted in Red.
  • White gelcoat to GRP superstructure.
  • Anodes replaced (February 2023).
  • Hull sandblasted and recoated with 2 coats of epoxy primer, 2 coats of underwater primer & antifouled (Feb 2023).

Engine & Gearboxes:

  • Yanmar 6CXM-GTE2 inline 6 cylinder 500hp diesel engine.
  • Yanmar marine power display and VDO gauges.
  • Yanmar engine alarms.
  • Twin Racor diesel fuel filter / water separator.

Voltage Systems:

  • 24 Volt electrical system, with 12V droppers as required.
  • AC distribution system including combined inverter (3000W)/battery charger (700 Amp).
  • 240 Volt plug points throughout including engine room and in the aft peak for the dinghy inflator/deflator.
  • 50 Amp Zink Sausa II Galvanic isolator fitted.

 

Battery Banks:
  • 24V Numax 105ah domestic batteries (4).
  • 24V Numax 105ah engine batteries (2).
  • 12V Varta 100ah generator start battery.
  • Engine/domestic battery link switch.
  • Victron Battery controller to monitor engine and domestic batteries.

 

Battery Chargers:
  • Voltage sensitive relays to allow charging of both banks of batteries by both engines.

Fuel:

  • Total capacity of 2,775 litres (610 gallons) in two centreline tanks.
  • Separ primary fuel system with change-over function to allow fuel feed from either or both tanks.
  • Suction pipe fitted to bottom of both fuel tanks with change-over switch from hand-pump.
