The 282.15ft /86m Conversion 'Chakra' was built in 1963 by Scheepswerf Gebr. van der Werf in Deest near Nijmegen and was converted to a yacht by Devonport Yachts. She served as a  weather ship in the North Sea prior to conversion to a yacht.

She had 2 major refits in 2016 & 2017.
