1930's Dutch Steel Bolpraam Tjalk, ideal for living aboard or holiday use, hull completely double plated, has been ashore for antifoul and anodes May 2023.

CONSTRUCTION:

Built in the 1930's. Steel construction, welded and riveted. Hull has been completely double plated in the past. Painted and antifouled in 2023. Twin wheel steering on deck or in wheelhouse.

BUILDER

Built in Holland as a Bolpraam barge and later converted for pleasure use.

ENGINE:

Mercedes 315 80hp inboard diesel engine. Number G15913-10-114082. Keel cooling system. Single lever control with 2 helm positions.

BOWTHRUSTER / STERNTHRUSTER

Vetus bow and stern thrusters with controls at wheel.

ELECTRICS:

2 alternators charging 12v engine battery (2023), 12v domestic battery (2023) and bowthruster battery. 240v shore power with Victron charger & inverter.

DECK GEAR:

Rear cockpit seating, stainless steel hand rails, manual anchor windlass, mooring warps and fenders.

SAFETY GEAR:

Electric bilge pump.

DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT:

Webasto hot air heating system heating. 240v shore power with sockets. Galley with 4 burner gas hob (disconnected but available), 240v refrigerator, pressurised hot and cold water supply to the sink, 150 litre freshwater tank, hot water tank via 240v immersion heater. Separate heads compartment with marine toilet, wash basin and pull out shower. Holding tank. New mascerator pump for holding tank, new impeller to mascerator pump for heads.

ACCOMMODATION:

Aft cabin with owners double berth. Saloon seating provides a single berth if needed. Lovely open plan living room/saloon with galley, separate toilet compartment/bathroom and step to wheelhouse with access to engine, steps down to aft cabin with double berth. Lots of storage and cupboards.

REMARKS:

"Bolt Hole" was purchased by her present owner 5 years ago and transported by road to Tollesbury Marina. She has since provided a comfortable live aboard home. her owner moved ashore during the winter and has fully refurbished her including lifting out of the water for antifoul and anodes, repainting the hull and decks and completely valeting the interior. She has a December 2016 survey and the underwater areas have been completely re-plated in the past.
