According to the Seller: This is A Rare Classic Legend in Powerboat Performance with Superior Ride and Handling has been in Dealer Inventory of Coleman High-Performance Marine dba Cougar Powerboats of Florida.

New cost today with this same 700 HP HD-Dart Engines, SSM 4 Speedster Drives - Bam 1,300 HP Transmissions- Gaffrig Gauges and Controls. Etc. would cost in excess of $700,000.00, a Quick Load Tri-axel Aluminum Trailer fitted with new wheels springs etc.

This US-1-38 vessel is a rare classic From Cougar Holdings Ltd- of England.

The Cougar Superior Offshore boat line was designed and built with race-proven technology in a pleasure boat version.

If These British Built Boats were automobiles they would be Rolls Royce, Bentley or Aston Martin.

Powerboat Magazine, the world's leading performance boating magazine, and its Founder Bob Nordskog inspected and tested this very Boat in 1989 and stated " This boat is intended for offshore use. This is one of the best rigged boats our team had ever laid eyes on."

Condition

This 1989 Cougar US-1-38 has been owned by the dealer who imported them into the US This boat was never sold to a buyer therefore the buyer will be the original owner . Seller didn't want to change any of the original colors because new owner may want to customize the way they want it. Stbd engine was removed and in the shop due to a raw water sea pump failure The port engine is operable and is run intermittently with fresh water. The Stbd engine is not damaged it was pulled to avoid damage. This engine only requires Valve train freshening which was not done, In the event, the buyer wishes to make any engine modifications.
