Lyman-Morse's Hood 35 has the performance qualities all mariners want in a small power boat: stability, fast and dry.  Chris Hood has designed a boat that Lyman-Morse is proud to build.  Between her cold-molded construction and twin Volvo Penta D-6 outdrives this vessel will meet the needs of all her stewards.

Equipped with a SeaKeeper 3 and Northern Light 6kW generator, this vessels comfort and amenities can be enjoyed well beyond the marinas.  The owners can optimize everything Lyman-Morse has built into the Hood 35 from any quiet anchorage or mooring.

Construction

The Hood 35 is cold molded.  The hull construction is vacuum laminated Eglass/epoxy outer skin using tongue and grove Douglas Fir as the first layer, followed by two additional layers of cedar applied on the 45 degree before the final fiberglass skin is applied and then paint.

The deck is made off a mold using carbon fiber and Corecell foam and Coosa high density foam in high load areas. The deck is infused to produce the lightest and strongest structure with these materials.

The hardtop is carbon composite part, infused epoxy and carbon fiber Corecell foam core and Coosa high density core at high-load areas.

Cockpit

Elegant and simple is how to describe the Lyman-Morse powerboat.  She has a clean, open layout to accommodate many uses.  Aptly fitted with two high quality pedestal seats for at the helm and navigation positions. The instrument panel is varnished teak veneer to hold the extensive and state of the are nav. equipment and instrument.

The open cockpit sole is painted non-skid all the way back to the aft bench seat and large sunpad.  Beautiful and comfortable.  Choice location the enjoy the ride and take in the view.

Propulsion Package

The Volvo Penta Interceptor System is a boat trim system for simpler, safer and more comfortable driving. It is integrated into the Electronic Vessel Control system which makes it extremely easy to handle. 

The precise manual control function can be extended with three fully automatic modes, each developed to improve the boating experience, in terms of comfort, visibility and low fuel consumption.  The third mode, “Active Ride” is another smart feature that will redefine your concept of cruising comfort.
