Description:

Lots of boats claim to have that ‘Tardis’ quality – a feeling of interior space apparently quite unsupported by the hull length. The Draco 2500 is a good contender for this description, and particularly with the full-length, full-height, cockpit covers fitted to this tidy example. The layout is unusual, with its raised helm alongside a generous sunpad. There’s good visibility all round with the recently-renewed covers up. On a nice day, take the covers off and enjoy the spacious seating in the cockpit. Down below, the interior is cosy and comfy, with all the facilities you need. This is a versatile boat with the twin outdrives giving a useful turn of speed.

Engine(s) & Electrical:

2 x Volvo Penta AQ145A, 138hp petrol inboards. Serial numbers: 28015422 & 28015423. New electronic ignitions fitted in 2011. The following has been replaced in the current ownership: cam belts on both engines, electronic ignition, coil, distributor and rotor arms on both engines, circulating water pumps on both engines, exhaust manifolds on both engines, starter motor on port engine, alternator on port engine, cylinder pressures on both engines checked and all found to be in the middle of the specified handbook range, new throttle cables on both engines outdrives & steering, new steering cable & steering helm fitted (original wheel retained), both outdrives removed serviced and new flexible gaters fitted, both drives stripped primed and repainted, new gear shift cables fitted to both drives, dashboard replaced with new wiring and mostly new guages, most 12v wiring replaced, new 12v power distribution panel in cabin with resettable breakers fitted, all carbs rebuilt on both engines (4 carbs). Drive type: Volvo AQ280 legs. New props fitted in 2009. Fuel capacity: 300 litres.. Maximum speed: 25kts. 4 batteries charged from the engine & Merlin 3 stage mains charger. Shore power. Inverter.

4 berths (double forepeak & double aft cabin), 2 cabins, 6’ headroom, cloth upholstery, curtains, carpeted, fully insulated, saloon table, hanging locker, sea toilet (new in 2009), wash basin with hot & cold water, cooker (new in 2012), galley sink with hot & cold water (new in 2012), 12v/240v fridge, 100 litre water capacity.
