Description

This 38’ Shelter Island Runabout has been beautifully kept and maintained.  One of the original hot rods, this Runabout has twin big block 496 HO Mercruiser engines rated at 425 hp each that make this a go anywhere, very fast dayboat with weekend accommodations. Sea Fever has had recent updates including the addition of an anchor windlass with platform, deck repainted, new canvas, and spray rails. The engines which are in fantastic shape mechanically have been pampered and properly taken care of.  Sea Fever's dark green topsides and tan deck with canvas give this boat a classic look.

 

Hull, Deck and Cockpit

Construction

  • Kevlar/E glass hybrid composite hull with vinyl ester resin.

Accomodations

Accommodations:

Down below sleeps two in an oversized double with filler cushion. When not used as a bunk the V berth area is laid out as two generous sofas with upholstered backrests. An extra large hanging locker forward, shelving and a bureau with book locker easily handle a couples cruising needs for space. There are reading lamps over the bunks and fans to circulate air. The interior is finished in soft white Awlgrip with satin varnished teak trim and a varnished teak cabin sole. The head has a varnished teak countertop with a stainless sink and Scandvik fixture. There’s a pull-out shower with automatic sump pump. There’s ample locker space for towels and toiletries plus a teak framed mirror is mounted on the bulkhead.

 Galley:

White composite counter top with a stainless steel sink and Scandvik faucet. Single element cooktop. There are also lockers and drawers for utensils and food storage. A 12VDC/110VAC refrigerator can keep food and beverages cool and the built in microwave serves piping hot prepared dishes and hors d’ oeuvres for guests.
