2003 Custom Carolina 40' Express SAVANNA LEIGH

SAVANNA LEIGH is a 40' Guthrie Custom Carolina express sportfish built in Dare County, North Carolina. This boat has competitively fished in the North Carolina Billfish Series each year since 2017. This versatile sportfish has proven itself in a multitude of environments from chasing blue marlin off of North Carolina to sailfish and swords in the waters of South Florida and the Bahamas. 

A full time captain and mate have managed the boat for the current owner over the past five years with regularly scheduled maintenance performed by the crew. The boat is powered by twin Cummins QSM-11 diesels detuned to 635 HP each. This offers a respectable 26 knot cruise burning just 40-42 GPH. Wide open throttle in ideal conditions offers a 35 knot top end. The motors have been serviced every 200 hours under current ownership. 

The helm features a swivel captains seat, teak helm pod and palm beach style controls. Also found are Cummins digital displays, Garmin 8215 plotter, Furuno NavNet 10" display with radar and weather overlay, Furuno FCV295 sounder with new transducer (2021), two iCom VHFs and Simrad autopilot. An upper helm station is found in the tower with a second Furuno NavNet 10 and iCom VHF. 

Below deck is a port side galley with refrigerator, microwave and sink. An L shaped setee is found to starboard. Forward to port in an enclosed head with sink and shower. The V-birth stateroom features a queen bed, closet and TV.
