With so many mid-sized family cruisers to choose from, the Doral Prestancia stands apart for her rakish—some might say excessive—styling. Aesthetics aside, there’s a lot to like about the Prestancia, and a wide 10'1" beam makes her one of the biggest 28-footers in her class. The cabin accommodations are surprisingly expansive for a boat this size with berths for six, a full galley, and a standup head with sink and shower. Privacy curtains separate the fore and aft sleeping areas from the main cabin, and the forward berth has an adjustable backrest for late[1]night readers. Note that counter space in the galley is limited, which is typical of most small cruisers. Topside, the Prestancia’s cockpit is expandable; the aft lounge slides aft at the flip of a switch to increase space. On the downside, it’s difficult for two people to share the double helm seat because the steering wheel is centered. A cockpit wet bar and extended swim platform were standard, and a unique mahogany lounge on the foredeck adjusts into a chair.Show More
