This is a 345’ Ice Class Polar Expedition Cruise Ship.  It was built in 1972 as a RoPax Night Ferry and rebuilt as new in 2009 as polar expedition cruise ship. It is a spacious and well-designed and accommodates 134 passengers.

On board, there are viewing platforms, a 360-degree Observation Deck, a bar and restaurant, five different standards of cabin (all en-suite) and a lounge big enough to accommodate all passengers in which lectures and presentations can be given. Live evening entertainment is provided in the Polar Bear Bar. There is also a gym, sauna, library, computer room, hospital and a gift shop. The vessel is equipped with a fleet of zodiacs, so you never miss a photo opportunity with the incredible wildlife.  Passengers can also keep in touch with the outside world via a satellite-linked internet/phone system.
