This High Performance Checkmate Convincor GTX is fast and fun to drive!

The known history of this 1989 Checkmate Convincor GTX dates back to 2004 when the previous owner purchased it in Michigan, and brought it to Ohio.

Once in Ohio, there were extensive custom engine modifications performed.

Here is from the previous owner regarding the engine work:

"The camshaft is a GM 620hp. Same cam that is in the 620hp 540cu crate motor. This engine turns 6000 rpm!!! Peak hp of cam is at 5800 rpm. It has aluminum high performance exhaust manifolds with long tube risers. 10-quart oil pan. Melling oil pump. External oil cooler. Outdrive is also built by a professional marine mechanic. It is a Bravo XR with 2" shorty lower."

Other than keeping up with routine preventative maintenance, the owner says there has been no need for any additional engine work. He says, this boat will get up and go!

Besides the sleek, eye-catching design, the elongated bow serves as a V-berth below deck, with a fridge and pump-activated sink, in addition to a sleeping area for two.

Cockpit seating is comfortable, with controls easy to reach, and gauges easy to read.

Condition

Remaining covered when not in use, this 1989 Checkmate Convincor GTX appears to be in overall very good condition. There is some light staining on the backs of some of the upholstery, and there is slight damage to the fiberglass at the stern area, on the edge of the swim platform. The painted-steel trailer is in fair condition visually, with rust showing in many places.
