Description

The Makai range includes the performance-oriented Makai 37 and the cruising focused Makai 45. Built by skilled craftspeople in Poland, Makai Yachts are technologically advanced and fuel efficient. They offer natural form stability, easy maneuverability, shallow draft, stylish design, and catamaran comfort. They were conceived by the founders of Makai Yachts in partnership with the Italian design powerhouse Emanuele Rossi of ERYD Design to redefine the power catamaran for the modern boater.

The stylish Makai 37 is a sport power catamaran with cruising boat amenities. It is well-suited for weeklong trips with two spacious cabins, two heads, an exterior galley and an enormous deck space fit to entertain 12. The yacht can sneak into the shallows with 1’ 9” draft and the standard twin 320 HP Yanmar diesel engines you will get you to your destination quickly. It offers catamaran comfort and an unprecedented driving experience.

  • Space: Wide clear stern
  • Safety: Non-explosive
  • Twin Turbocharger and common rail fuel injection for superior
performance both in fuel economy and acceleration

Hull Design, Construction and Performance

The Makai 37 is designed using our Air-Glide* system to create high air pressure inside, and low pressure outside the hulls to generate a unique shock-absorbing cushion. This also increases the hulls efficiency proportionally with speed. That means no more bumpy rides out to your favorite reef and no more slamming over oncoming swells. With a Makai power catamaran, speed does not come at the sacrifice of comfort.

  • Finish: Full female molded hulls & decks, exterior gelcoat finish with molded non-slip surface on deck areas
  • Hull Laminate: Infused polyester resin laminate with a vinylester tie layer
  • Hull and Deck Core Material: PVC closed cell foam core
  • Deck Laminate: Vacuum formed polyester resin laminate
  • Laminate specifications are certified to CE standards
  • Bottom: Epoxy barrier coat and 2 coats of high-quality black antifouling bottom paint
