Description

Here at Boatshed Norfolk, we have a very nice C-Kip Ocean 40 Trawler Yacht. This is a very large and practical boat that is currently being used as a live aboard vessel but has not had the usual changes made like wood burners etc so is still just a standard Ocean 40 Europa boat. The boat has regularly cruised the rivers of the Broads. This particular boat has been in the tender care of her current owner for 5 years and he is the 3rd owner from new. The boat's previous owner of some 32 years kept and used her on Loch Lomond in Scotland and she only pottered about on the loch. The boat appears to be a tidy example and is presented very well, even with the owner's belongings aboard. She has fully enclosed side decks and a substantial flybridge that is the width of the boat giving fully covered side decks below (that also benefit from canopy enclosures), making them fully sealed off from the weather. The aft deck is large and spacious and as can be seen is currently used as a storage area. The huge foredeck has an all teak deck and large, safe forward deck area with solid handrails and large anchor windlass and anchor. A sliding door from the starboard side takes you the helm station, and the side deck has an opening door section for quick entry and exit ashore. From the aft deck there is a large companionway door that leads you into a haven of real teak that is the key note of the interior of this very substantial vessel. The large, open-plan saloon and galley are swathed in this warm feeling of beautiful wood and it just glows. The saloon is large, practical and comfortable and offers seating for about 8 people. Moving forward, the galley is to port with a good sized gas hob and refrigerator and ample work top space and storage. The large and comfortable helm is well equipped with a good nav package featuring Raymarine large format plotter, speed and depth, plus an autopilot (not tested) and exhaust alarms to both engines. The engines are serviced regularly and have done very few hours since last being done. They appear to start and run nicely and are clean in appearance. The boat has an 8kw diesel heating system fitted so she is very warm and cozy. Her mains sockets have USB ports for added flexibility. Moving forward, there is a good sized heads to port with new electric toilet and shower and a large double cabin to starboard. Forward of here is the bow cabin that can be set up as twin or double configurations but is currently used as a storage area. From the large aft deck area steps lead up to the huge flybridge which is an enormous and very flexible space. You could quite literally hold a dance up there. If I was to be critical of the boat then some of the exterior woodwork would benefit from fresh rubdown and varnish, but that would be expected as an ongoing job with exterior woodwork on a boat such as this. The flybridge helm station is fully equipped and covered and has bench seating for 8. There are side wings to the helm which give a fantastic vantage point from the edge of the boat within safe rails and offers stunning views around. The boat has a current Boat Safety Certificate to late 2025. If you want a trawler style then this boat offers a huge amount of internal and external space maximising the use of the boat's footprint in every respect. As a live aboard she must be close to unbeatable for the space and quality available in the length. She has recent new water pump and battery and is priced to sell. If you are looking for boat or living space where you are not cramped yet want a quality and cosy living space then look no further. These boat details are subject to contract.
