Beautiful 2005 Azure deck boat. Not many of these were made by Bennington before they left the business. I have driven deck boats from other manufacturers and they don't compare with this Azure.
The boat is extremely seaworthy and is dry in even moderate sea states. This is impressive for a boat that was really designed for flat freshwater lakes. We've taken this boat 10 miles offshore in the Florida Keys and have cruised a few hundred miles in the North Carolina sounds. It handling and solid manners always amazes experienced boaters who have driven it.
It has plenty of power and only has 533 true hours on the meter. We are the original owners. The boat has been well maintained. A stray electrical current corroded the lower half of the Bravo 3 outdrive (it spends the warm months in the water at our dock) so it is fitted with a new lower half with zero hours on it.
Note that since this is a 2005 model, the vinyl upholstery shows modest signs of wear in places and there are very faint shadows of mildew stains in a few places. The is a small puncture of about 1/2 in diameter on the right rear cushion where one of the bimini supports dropped onto it.
The cover and bimini are Sunbrella and were custom made by a local canvas man. Both are in excellent condition.
A Lowrance chartplotter is included, but the unit has a maybe 10 years on it and still works, although it sometimes loses communication with the transponder.
This includes a heavy duty aluminum trailer that fits the boat beautifully. In all the years we've owned it we have never failed to land the boat perfectly on the first attempt even when the approach is significantly out of line when there is a beam wind.
We are selling this boat for a few reasons. (1) My wife has significant mobility issues and has difficulty boarding in contrast to our pontoon boat. (2) Since this boat stays in the water at our dock, keeping the fiberglass clean and shiny requires significant work (power washing, wet sanding, buffing and waxing) which I am no longer prepared to do at age 72.
This will be a great boat for the next owner.
