Own a piece of history in this Don Aronow 39 boat, built in 1991 by Donzi. Once a favorite of smugglers, the US government attempted to contract these fast boats for good guys to catch the bad guys in the same boats.

The black Lucite doors and curved stairs as you enter the hatch to go below deck, take you back to Don Aronow's days. He lived an opulent lifestyle, hobnobbing with presidents and kings, and this boat's style is a throwback to the glamorous lives of the rich and famous. Navy blue and mauve seating is offered in two chairs with a round table between, a long bench, and a berth. The small galley contains a mini-refrigerator. Inside the head are a sink, mirror, toilet, and cabinets. The cabinets house the electrical panels.

On deck, the captain's and passenger's chair bottoms clip to sit, or unclip to stand. The cockpit has seating for 3 or 4, with two chair back tables and cup holders. A flip of a switch brings the engine hatch cover up to reveal the engines, batteries, and bilge pump.

The sellers found this boat in storage and have restored it so that it's clean and runs as it should - fast. Although some of the upholstery has been redone, bring your finishing decorative touches.

A cover is included in the sale, as well as updated features such as the Garmin GPS.

Condition

This vessel has been maintained and is kept covered. Everything works as it should. The hull has new paint and antifouling. The upholstery is starting to wear. The sellers have recently reupholstered the engine hatch cover and the cockpit seating. There is a snap-in carpet for the cabin.
