This Groningen Tjalk, one of very few left, has been brought back to its original condition so her beautiful, flowing lines are in tact and there has never been any extensions or alterations. The Groningen's were designed for coastal sailing and the hull is therefore much stronger than an inland barge with double ribbed beams internally. The boat was surveyed in 2019 and repainted entirely in 2023. Laid out with three cabins, one to the aft, a double cabin amidships and a master suite in the bow, this makes a great family liveaboard boat. The galley/saloon has very high ceilings and headroom is excellent throughout this barge. There is storage everywhere along with two separate heads, The storage area forward of the master cabin could be converted into an additional bathroom.
