Whale Watching Zenith this Weekend at the Oregon Coast

Gray whales are headed south to their calving waters off Mexico, and the New Year’s weekend is the end of the prime time for seeing them pass the Oregon Coast.

The state Parks and Recreation Department is assisting visitors with their attempts to catch a glimpse of some of the estimated 20,000 gray whales traveling south from Alaska to their destination off the coast of Baja, Mexico.
