Watch Surfers Tackle the Wedge as Hurricane Eugene Produces Growing Waves

The crowds showed up to cheer and the wave-riders got a thrill as a hurricane and south swell continued to bring fun waves to the Wedge in Newport Beach Tuesday, July 11.

It wasn’t big by Wedge standards – which can reach 30 feet on its largest days – but the modest surf brought a buzz to the beach at the stretch of sand just north of the Newport Beach harbor jetty.
