RARE FIN WHALE SPOTTED IN PNW WATERS

According to Puget Sound Express Whale-Watching, a rare occurrence took place in Puget Sound waters late last summer. A fi n whale — the second-largest whale in the world — was spotted near Whidbey Island. They aren’t seen in Salish Sea waters very often, and this one could have been driven to new waters by a lack of food sparked by warmer waters.
