A heavy-duty cleat that can handle the size and weight of a large vessel is a rare find. An attractive, discreet cleat built for large vessels is an even rarer find. Fortunately, Accon Marine now manufactures a flush-mount cleat specially designed for boats 40 feet and larger. Made of 316 stainless steel, the 15-inch pull-up cleat measures 17 inches long overall, 5.3 inches wide and weighs 19 pounds. It is available in a through-bolt model with four visible screws or, for a completely seamless look, a stud-mounted version is available. Both come with a waterproof cup that extends down 7.1 inches, in addition to a cut-out template that doubles as a backing plate.
