PORT OF SEATTLE HOSTS ITS LARGEST CONTAINER SHIP

Port of Seattle saw its Terminal 18 host the largest container ship that has ever called on the port. Callisto is big, huge. It’s almost 1,200 feet long, making it nearly as long as four football fields, and at 150 feet, it’s too wide to fit through the Panama Canal’s updated locks. According to the Northwest Seaport Alliance, the ship is almost long enough to fit two Space Needles end to end.
