A Quick Fix for Tank Leaks

by Chris Caswell

If you find that your water tank has a pinhole leak (or there's one in the muffler or exhaust pipe) caused by corrosion, you can seal it temporarily by screwing a stainless steel self-tapping screw into it. This isn't a long-term solution, but it will get you through the weekend without losing all your fresh water.

One caution: don't try this on your gasoline tank. That's a repair job that's best left to the professionals.
