On those windless evenings aboard, it's sometimes difficult to get the charcoal to light in the barbecue on the stern. You can, of course, blow on the fire, but that can take a lot of effort during cocktail hour.



If you have an inflatable dinghy aboard, however, you've got a ready-made solution. Simply set up the foot pump for the inflatable next to the barbecue, aim the hose at the charcoal and -- with a few pumps -- you'll have glowing charcoal in moments.
