Slipcases Keep Blankets Clean and Dry

You'll want spare blankets when you're spending the night aboard on a cold evening -- but they can get in the way during the day, when you want to use the cabin for meals or entertaining.

How can you find a place to store them aboard, where they will stay clean and dry?

I solved the problem by buying clear zippered vinyl slipcases at a discount department store. Available in a variety of sizes, you can fold or roll a blanket, insert it into a slipcase and zip it shut. Not only does it keep the blanket clean and dry, but a slipcase-covered blanket makes a great backrest for the cabin or cockpit.
