28 years ago you offered me an opportunity for what I thought was a publishing job, but in reality, was an incredible adventure and life changing experience.

You were always there in tough times, good times and sad times. Your fortitude and failure is not an option attitude, gave me the strength and energy to move forward, keep exploring and believe anything is possible especially knowing you always had my back.

You made me feel special by giving me your undivided attention, helping me solve problems whether they were personal or job related. You instilled confidence that encouraged me to believe in myself and strive to do my best. You motivated me like a marine sergeant, but with the delivery of a caring mother.

You taught me never to take a back seat and to always stand strong in my beliefs, especially, if they werent the most accepted or popular among the majority in our society. Your pride wore off on me and I wear it everyday.

I watched you face many challenges throughout the years and learned how you prepared for battle not only fight, but to win. Your tenacity and your drive helped guide me to overcome tough and seemingly impossible obstacles. Through you, I learned how to face my fears, succeed and be proud of my accomplishments.

If I were asked to describe you in one word, it would be a diamond, multi-faceted, respected, admired, sharp, and one of the strongest and most beautiful souls one could ever meet.

You didnt just touch my life, you wrapped your arms around it and hugged it lovingly. You were generous with your time, your advice and gave me special gifts that I will always cherish.

I once believed that angels were intangible and invisible but I was wrong. Angels are not invisible, they dont have wings, they dont float above us, they arent perfect and sometimes they even use foul language. Angels are those special beings who reach into our souls and give us guidance, inspire us and teach us how to get the most out of our lives. It wasnt until you departed from this earth that I finally understood your true identity a guardian angel.

Forever in my heart, forever in my thoughts, forever in my life.
