KAOHSIUNG, TAIWAN – Jan. 15, 2013 – Alexander Marine, the manufacturer of Ocean Alexander yachts, is celebrating 35 years of boat building.
Alex Chueh established Alexander Marine in 1978. He started building boats before then, but formally created Alexander Marine upon meeting renowned naval architect, Ed Monk Jr., and established a model line exclusively designed by Monk for Alexander Marine. This practice was a pioneer in the industry during this early stage of boat building in Taiwan.
In the past 35 years, Alexander Marine evolved from building small trawlers in the 40-foot range to building megayachts such as the Ocean Alexander 120. Now, under the leadership of Alex’s son, John Chueh, Alexander Marine is continuing on the path of advancement, implementing design and material changes to stay competitive in the ever-changing boating industry.
To celebrate this meaningful anniversary, Alexander Marine has created a generous sales promotion with complimentary upgrades for all models in 2013. The 35th Anniversary Sales Promotion runs from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2013, and is applicable toward all new Ocean Alexander yachts ordered from the factory through an Ocean Alexander sales office.
The 35th Anniversary Sales Promotion will include the following incentives:
For all Ocean Alexander 90s – A significant engine upgrade at no cost, as well as a complimentary electronics package. Valued together at more than $600,000.
For all Ocean Alexander 85s – A complimentary electronics package, as well as a complimentary ABT zero-speed stabilizer package. Valued together at more than $300,000.
For all Ocean Alexander 82s and 78s – A complimentary electronics package, valued at more than $200,000.
For all Ocean Alexander 72s – A free layout upgrade to include crew quarters and a second genset system. Valued together at more than $60,000.

Its yachts are available in the U.S. through dealers in Seattle; Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and Newport Beach, Calif. The company’s website is oceanalexander.com
