Model Sailboat Racing in South Lake Union

It's competitive and serious racing almost every other Saturday as members of the Pacific Northwest Model Yacht Club bring their T-37-class radio-controlled model sailboats to the pond next to MOHAI in South Lake Union. The boats are built from kits, are 37 inches long with control of both sails and rudder. For about $400, kits can be purchased. Saturday, there were more than 20 races for four hours.
