Rising from the Wreckage: Perth Amboy’s Yacht Club Recovering from Sandy

The Raritan Yacht Club will have a boating season next year.

That’s the word from Commodore Warren Bigos, who says he’s in negotiations with insurance companies to have the remains of six large boats – destroyed by Hurricane Sandy – removed from the yard.

“Most people would see this as a nightmare,” Bigos said Tuesday. “We see it as a dream, to be able to rebuild our club. It’s going to be gorgeous.”
