The CXT235 features a 20-mile range, UHF/FM reception, battery-saver circuitry, a keypad lock, optional voice activation and call alerts. Plus, listen to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Admin­ist­r­ation Weather Radio for local weather updates, alerts and emergencies. The radio emits a loud tone during alerts, even if the volume is turned down. It comes with two radios that boast belt clips and rechargeable NiMH batteries, along with a wall charger cord with a Y-plug. Each one also takes four AAA alkaline batteries.
